Series of 14 paper collages for a free newspaper distributed throughout Liverpool during the Independents Biennial 2025

Looking at the imagination of Liverpool in the far future I have created a series of 14 paper collages that reflect on the city’s history, power and wealth in connection to climate change and how that might impact the city and its communities. Accompanying the collages is a new text written by Dr Rex McKenzie and Dr Zakiya McKenzie that poetically reflects on the city’s past and potential future. Together the artworks and text are published in a 24 page newspaper available for free at art venues, galleries, cafes and libraries throughout the city from August 12th 2025.
